About the design of 'The Room of the Emirates:
A design brief was given, which would combine functionality and cutting edge technology, merging innovation and cultural heritage in line with architectural trends apparent in the UAE over a number of years. Major renovation works have been implemented to update the conference areas, and to improve acoustic, accessibility to disabled persons, comfort, and adaptation to the new technologies.
The works commenced in July 2015 and were completed in May 2016, for the total cost of $22 million. Siavosh Adeli, CEO of ADELI Architects & Partners says: Our approach to this project was led by the constant desire to challenge ourselves and to deliver a project that is unique and inspiring. The concept posed a great challenge to all parties, both on a technical level, constructive level and in the field of management.
